Meet Melita Cooper, the Salon Manager of Extensions Hair Salon. With over 20 years of experience in cosmetology and natural hair care, Melita has built her career around one core belief — that beautiful hair and healthy hair should always go together.

She's a licensed cosmetologist and a certified Hair Loss Practitioner, holding credentials from both the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) and the U.S. Trichology Institute (USTI). That means she doesn't just style hair — she understands what's happening beneath it.

Melita specializes in helping clients safely wear protective styles like braids, wigs, weaves, and extensions without damaging their natural hair. She's especially passionate about preventing traction alopecia, a common but avoidable form of hair loss caused by too much tension on the scalp and hairline.

In her management role, she leads the Extensions Hair Salon team with professionalism and care — supporting stylist development, maintaining service quality, and making sure every client has an exceptional experience from start to finish.
